When periava used to camp in Sanskrit College years ago, my mother and chitti used to go with my last chitti (13th kid) who was very young at that time , they used to translate Sanskrit slokas and periava used to give them small gold and silver coins ( i still have them) for their work. My last chitti used to fight with periava for vazhaipazham and get the same and eat . 

Ages gone, mom got married and we were all born. When my elder sister was to get married, we went to madam to get his blessings. Amma has not seen him in the gap of about 30 years. There was a huge rush as Bala periava had just been initiated . We were not sure if we would be able to see him. But as his eyes traversed the crowd, he sent word for us to come near him and as we went he saw my mom and asked " nee subhalaksmi thane"? Amma kannula thanni Vara arambichuthu. He further asked, pant shirt potuundu pazhathukku azhara kozhandai yeppidi irukka. 

What memory he has. 

I don't do daily Pooja or any such things to him as guru. But have surrendered myself totally. He is there when in need.

I was a regular kancheepuram visitor in the pre pandemic times. Year 2018, I wanted to go to the madam on new year.day but could not go. I was in parrys corner for a chocolate delivery and the crowd in kalikambal temple made me walk. There was this shankara temple there and was led there. I literally cried. I wa offered food there and I do not have words to express.

Last year I had a cerebral stroke and was admitted at Apollo CCU. No visitors allowed. I was scared and did not even know how to pray.just opposite to myroomvinfow, there was this orange water bottle the turned like periava and he told me asadu.. payabasathe and asked me to chant maha bhalam, maha veeram. I asked what it meant. He said the japam that will save you and he is the one and there I saw narasimhar and I was given the moola mantra too. I started chanting - i had never heard of it too earlier butknew by heart. Both vanished like dust.. 

My neuro who told my family that nothing can be said for 36 hrs. Says i don't know how you moved. You had lost 65% of the left as per ct and mri. I walked home. My kidneys, liver. Heart.wete all under issues but I survived and now getting back to normalcy with grace.

For believers. He is there. One need not do anything extra except surrender.
