Recipe for Sambar Powder
Ingredients required :
1. Dried turmeric 6 pieces
2. Dhaniya half KG
3. Round Dried Chilly half KG
4. Black pepper 200 gms
5. Tur dhal 100 gms
6. Gram dhal 100gms
7. Dried curry leaves one big bunch

Sun dry all these for one full day. Grind it in a machine after checking that nothing else unpalatable is ground bfr grinding this.
Grind the chilles first and keep the powder separately to cool. Then grind all the other ingredients to a nice powder and spread the powder to cool.
Take out 150 gms of ground chilly powder and keep it aside.
Mix all the ground powders nicely and the Sambar powder is ready now.
Store it in an airtight container and it can last a year or more too.
The usage of 150gms chilly powder kept aside will be mentioned later
